No rest for the wicked? But I’m so sweet…

Work has been hectic… six books had to go to the printers within one week. There’s a new editor at one of the publishers and she’s been so frazzled that one of her books ended up being completely chaotic to deal with on D-day. I had to run up and down between our offices and the publishing house and yesterday, I sat there for a few hours trying to finalise things which were checked and OK’d. Then this morning, errors were found at the printers and my boss and I were still bugged this morning. I swear, I found a (new) grey hair on my head this morning! The rush is somewhat over and we have some room to breathe, for now.

Speaking of hair, my new haircut (that’s almost a month old) is totally cool. I’ve never before, enjoyed the maintenance that comes along with keeping one’s hair coiffed. But with this cut, I have so much fun styling it and brush my hair in every direction all night.

In other news… remember my friend who was pregnant but needed bed rest and was in hospital for a long time? Well, I don’t know if I mentioned that her son was born on 6 January. He was premature though, so he had to stay in hospital for a while. He came home, exactly one month later and Zeen and I can’t get enough of him. We’re totally mesmerised by this tiny human being and have been spending a lot of time feeding, burping and just holding him. Talk about being broody. I’m definitely going to be blogging about him soon, photos and all.

For now, I have to go back to the world of kerning…
